It's naive to think people could do the opposite now and jump from the biggest platform to some tiny newcomer, but god dammit it's like bluesky tried as hard as possible not to be an alternative. What's even the point in not even trying? At the end of the day its only contribution was to demoralize people who wanted a better site.
On that matter, fuck mastodon too. So much for muh fediverse where you only need an account to follow people from any server, and in real world all servers block one another.
