>>19143342Negative. It can work but not for you. What will happen at best is eventually you will be part of the bar's crowd and it will be friendly as long as you are a customer. You may run into one of those people on the outside but they will barely recognize you, reminding you that your sphere of socialization is dependent on commerce and nothing more. The lesson is: if you already have friends, you can make more. If you already have a life, you can extend it there. It won't replace anything you are already lacking- that's how it won't work for you. It's exactly like joining IRL after being a keyboard warrior or going online to find an IRL experience. The only real thing is what you already bring with you.
