Last Silver purchase of the year arrived today, an 1844 5 Francs and an 1831 Prussian Thaler, both bought pretty much at spot.
This was a somewhat unusually good deal for me, but the fact that I was able to get these for scrap value at all really speaks volumes to how separated the West has become from its history.
