I can’t maintain stable employment for more than 6 months without my brain deciding it wasn’t to kill itself. I could be living my dream life and I would get tired of it because my brain lacks the same chemicals as everyone else. I have to try twice as hard as others to achieve half the results. I am projected to have more life problems and less satisfaction and money just bc of this diagnosis alone.
Despite all of this I am expected to be grateful for the opportunity to take it up the Ass harder than everyone else for the rest of my life. I am expected to never talk about it. ADHD is simultaneously accepted as a DISABILITY and treated as a character flaw. The way people treat ADHD people is like telling a kid in a wheelchair that he has to learn how to walk.
What the fuck do I do? Will the meds really just “fix” me? Fuck this fucking brain disorder and fuck all the people who saw me struggling and didnt recommend me for evaluation. This will never go away, I will never be normal
