>>17364730this is correct. mayonnaise is based. it's spreadable fat, moisture and flavor that enhances many many foods. I would also add ketchup for its versatility, but I consider it to be slightly less versatile than hot sauce or mayonnaise. onions sauce I like but I don't use it as much.
