Everything is rooted in the material world. A religion that is not ethno-centric is a false religion. A god that doesn’t represent either a specific ethnic group or a phenomenon is a false god.
Going further. A religion with gods based on phenomena alone is also false as it lacks the grounding between our biological reality and the phenomena of the world at large.
An ethnic group is in essence a giant gang in which members distinguish each other by their physical appearance. This “gang” has to contend with other “gangs” in turf wars for land, resources and slaves. A religion is the operating code for the gang, which all gang members follow. The priesthood is part of the leadership and makes sure everyone follows the rules by punishing or killing the non-conformists. Morals are efficient and cooperative behaviours for collective tribal competition(continuation, propagation and competition). The trad normies work under the priesthood as the rule enforcers. The nobles manage all their henchmen(normies) to extract resources in an efficient manner while making sure the gang is growing. The king works with these two groups to make decisions on their behalf.
Gang(ethnic group), code(religion), leadership(nobles/royals), code enforcers(priesthood).
A moral framework and it moral foundation myth are the substrate from which all nations, ethnic groups, laws, organisations, social consensus and social interactions are founded on. It is like the code by which a gang functions. If your code doesn’t specifically concentrate on the continued existence of your ethnic group. Then something is deeply wrong.
