>>15646289>there is a church right next to the base. couldn't take any pictures inside because it damages the paintingsHuh, like, snapping a photo of it damages the paintings, somehow? That'd be really weird, but interesting. I'm probably just being dumb, I guess you mean that you couldn't go inside. Anyhow, that sounds cool, I get some images popping up in my head of how that would look, it'd feel surreal for me to be in a church like that. It's also really weird to me how you come by places like that in the middle of nowhere, while simply driving. Makes me wanna do the same one day, just see what kind of places I run into.
>One kind of trap was really tall holes going down. That is cool, yeah. Or, maybe not, imagine falling into one of those and surviving, which is likely because you'd be landing on your legs. You'd just be left there suffering for however long, that's a pretty bad way to go. Wonder if they put spikes at the bottom. Still okay compared to some traps that've been used. I wonder how many soldiers accidentally fell into one of those.
>Other kind was holes above certain doors, I think they were using them to pour boiling oil above enemiesThey really like their holes, huh. Creative enough for what they had to work with, I guess.
