i've been to alcoholic rehab two times, it's really worth it, generally free in Canada, better than AA, but AA can work if it's the only thing available in your area for free

first was when i was young, second was when i had leukemia at 30 and was drinking over chemo, now third time of getting out of the shit
i just don't have it anymore and grand-ma left me some money last year so i'll stick around and shitpost
