I shot this pic through my binoculars in late-Sept 2020. It was a famous case of an elk takedown right on Yellowstone river in the park.
I highly recommend Glacier. You have to go June through Sept. The going-to-the-sun road to St. Mary's lake and Blackfeet reservation closes for the season. This year it closes on Oct. 1. I suggest going in June and rafting the snowmelt. Epic!
