I just don't get it. So many people just in this thread claim that looking at a bottle of booze makes you an alkie for life, They have 12 step plans, entire hospitals dedicated to saving them, constitutional amendments enacted to protect them from tha evil demon booze/weed/whatever. There are seasons upon seasons of tv shows about interventions.
Apparently I'm some kind of weirdo for not becoming an addict, and I want to understand why.
Am I just lucky? Wired different? Too poor? Doctor/Dealer didn't give me the good shit?
I'm housed right now, and might be again before the weekend is over, but then I'll go back to normal life for a few months before having the time to drink or trip or whatever.
I want to understand, but "addicts" act like it's some kind of super-sekret club for cool kids.
