>>10170123This thread made me think about how Abrahamic religion might evolve in the future.
>Jewish monotheism was a reinterpretation of Semitic polytheism, and repurposed יַהְוֶה from being the patron of Israel to the creator God, who the Jews had a distinct relationship with>Christianity was a reinterpretation of Judaism, removing (mostly) the ethnocentrism and positing Yeshua as God's sole representative upon Earth, and the consideration of a Unified Trinity, though anything beyond that becomes extremely diverged when it comes to each sect>Islam was a revision of both Christianity and Judaism, reinstating the oneness of God and listing many representatives of Heaven, Muhammad not being the last, plus a lot of other rules which made it a lot more regulated than the first twoHow might religion evolve at the zenith of the Science/Space Age? I can imagine the history/canon becoming much longer (maybe even mentioning things billions of years back), and considering God to be much less attached to humanity, but as far as that, there's not much you could probably predict.
