>>18797595If you're going to school for networking you should just drop out. There's nothing they'll teach you that you can't teach yourself and get a cert for. You're just putting yourself into more debt. Even with the emergence of AI infrastructure and networking isn't going anywhere. AI can't run on thin air and somebody has to build the machine it runs on and configure the network it runs on. The job market is only bad because there's people like you that haven't built a home lab let alone actually worked in an enterprise environment who just expect a top notch job right out of college because of your expensive degree.
I don't have any certs, I didn't go to school for anything tech (bs in developmental psychology thanks professor!) and I'm a network engineer. Did I have to start small in end user? Yes, but it's better than sitting in a classroom all day for years burning money and opportunity.
Think about it m8. Literally no job is gonna turn you away if you've got certs but no degree.
