Will read your posts OP.
Oh... And maybe try to keep in mind that since some of us are trying to improve the contemporary image of The Roman Catholic Church, associating them with the swastika cross and therefore (indirectly) "Nazis", might not be what The Church needs these days. Hahahaha, oh man! That's the last thing The Church needs now! Imagine The Catholic Church being attacked in the popular media for being "Nazi"?
Ugh! What a clown world.
Anyways, since you mentioned the swastika, thought to share something interesting:
Many years ago, while reading one of Joseph Campbell's books in the "Masks of God" series, came across a chapter that talked about how there were *extremely* old swastika symbols found in Ukraine.
Considering Ukraine can be considering as a "steppe land bridge" between the "east" and the "west", this discovery is worth noting.
Fortunately, was able to find some information that appears to support what was read in the Joseph Campbell books.
See image, and below:
>The earliest swastika known has been found in Mezine, Ukraine. It is carved on late paleolithic figurine of mammoth ivory, being dated as early as about 10,000 BC. Among the earliest cultures utilizing swastika is the Old Europe, neolithic Danube Valley Civilization, Cucuteni-Trypillian and Vinca.Again: "The earliest swastika known has been found in Mezine, Ukraine."
>In Bronze Age Europe, the "Sun cross" appears most frequently of all continents, often interpreted as a solar symbol. Swastika shapes have been found on numerous artifacts from Iron Age Europe (Greco-Roman, Illyrian, Etruscan, Baltic, Celtic, Germanic, Slavic and Georgian Borjgali). Finally, if recalling correctly, there was speculation from Joseph Campbell that the swastika symbol found in Ukraine may not necessarily have been a sun symbol, but possibly a bird symbol. So the bird reference is worth considering.
