well that's chem 101 unfortunately. no tests or mixing chemicals or anything except maybe once or twice in the lab
well sure but most people should be pretty familiar with them already no? like i couldn't describe a predicate to someone if i was asked randomly but i looked it up and got the idea immediately. similarly i'd expect that in a classroom setting they'd just be able to describe what it looks like in english and give some examples in like three minute before moving on to how it's handled in japanese. if they spend a whole day just explaining the concept of a predicate that would be pretty absurd especially if it wasn't the language specific application of it
