Meltwater pulse 1a/1b, these were largely attributed to the large sea sized pools of meltwater on the ice age glaciers breaking free of ice dams and flooding the land for thousands of miles up to 400 feet in depth. They happened on both the Laurentide and Eurasian glacial sheets and there were several indunation events.
