If it seems that evil wins more often it's because destruction is easier than creation, at least for us. However, assuming murder is the ultimate evil and creating life is the ultimate act of good, I'd argue that humanity is overwhelmingly moral. Your parents loved you, a stranger, enough to give you life and everything. For every person alive there's two more who wanted to give them everything and were filled with nothing but love and hope. Though people are often evil, don't lose faith in humanity. When you hold a child who trusts you completely (as you did with your parents) you'll feel the depths of humanity's good.
