The United Nations has expressed DEEP CONCERN over the prospects of renewed conflict in Eurasia as the emergence of five new socio-political communities takes the international community by storm.
Observers expect the unification of the Arabian Peninsula underneath the peaceful, democratic government of the exiled post-soviet strongman known only as Comrade Smirnoff within the coming months. What this will mean for the ongoing conflict between Shia and Sunni factions in the battlegrounds of Syria and Iraq is yet to be determined. Local Iranian communities have warned the new Arabian superstate not to stray into its borders, but Comrade Smirnoff has so far not responded to these threats. It remains to be seen whether these communities will coalesce behind a leader of their own to oppose the new superstate.
Following a resurgence of interest in the Byzantine and Roman history of the country, Turkish troops have crossed the border into Armenia and Azerbaijan in defiance of security council resolutions. The leader has described this as nothing more than a resumption of proper and correct governance over territory that naturally belongs within the borders of nation, and a counterbalance to Smirnoff's designs on Persia.
In other news, Prussian locals have accused Hong Kong colonists of disrespecting the property rights of native Germans and Poles within their territory. The small baltic state's government has remained silent on the issue so far, and commentators have noted that the state has little leverage against its much larger neighbour. Opposition parties within Prussia continue to pressure the government on why so little was done to secure Prussian territory prior to the arrival of Colonial Hong Kong.
