As someone who worked in research (material science), I love working with women. Easy to talk to, approachable, always eager to help, always have time for my idiotic questions. For the most part they were the first ones to arrive and they always clean up after themselves.
I also used to work in forestry (thinning and planting and that sort of thing) and the women there worked their ass off (with the exception of one woman that constantly was trying to stir up drama).
Maybe I lucked out but in my experience it's the men that are lazy that don't fucking clean up after themselves and that call in sick the most. Still, that's just a small minority. In general most people I've met were hardworking and normal.
Except for this one chick whose work ethic was INSANE. She would do research till 04 AM and then start working at 08 AM as if nothing had happened. Of course this was situational and it was just for a few weeks per year but come on, wtf? I kinda regret not asking her out since we had quite a nice chemistry but I was too busy with my own research
