I work at a European hotel chain, called the Campanile, and in December we had a LOT of Chinese patrons (students and a few families).
Shortly thereafter, a receptionist falls ill and by ill, she was deathly looking almost. Coughing constantly and her nose was running and she couldn't breathe or taste properly. She kept working despite this.
Now I work on the bar, not the reception. But slowly, the reception workers ALL fell ill between December-February. This inevitably spread to the food and bar part of the hotel industry too and I myself fell sick.
Fast forward a few months and we're all in full lockdown, about Aprilish. I've been in contact with lots of people who caught Coronavirus but nothing happened to me. People who were sick alongside me (coworkers, my girlfriend) also aren't getting it.
I legitimately think that it was brought into the UK via the hotel I work at.
