a certain degree of faith is always required
now if we were to assume all religions were equally probable, then the best religion to follow is the one that gives us the best reward, threatens with the biggest punishment and is the easiest to follow. tho it would be so easy we'd already be following it so we're good
lastly if we assume there is a difference in the probability, but how do you measure it. military success? wealth? amount of followers? age?
let's say you were stranded on an island, and there were two tribes. one tribe kills little girls and eats them, the other tribe is good and caring, let's say the cannibals are winning wars against the good people, does that mean god is on their side and they are more probable?
you could say instead that god has given us an internal compass to find him, but is it also not the case that different people are drawn to different things.
