most people just don't really see the need for that sort of thing when everyone has unlimited texting plans but data is super expensive

>>13571789probably, though if anything i've had the opposite issue up to this point where i would pick something simple to make sure i would be able to understand it then get bored extremely fast because i didn't care about the content so it felt like a purely academic exercise.
this time what i'm reading isn't quite as simple so i'm stretching myself a bit at times, but if i weren't reading it in japanese i'd be reading it english anyway so it's much easier to stay interested
