that's very, very possible. DMT and ayahuasca are a glimpse into the "shadow world" - same applies for most psychedelics but these two are the most noticeable dip into that realm.
with that, however, i will say that the elites or whoever actually listens to entities is being tricked. The entities that approach you with gifts, knowledge, etc are evil and nefarious in nature. There are good entities in this realm, but they will not acknowledge you outside of their caretaker role - for example, the ones that guard the light in the DMT realm (this light is the bardo thodol, you cannot pass until your body death) or the machine elves tasked with rebuilding your spirit back to purity.
Jesters are mostly neutral, but it's best to approach them with skepticism since any forms appearing to be 'human' in nature are most likely lower vibrational beings. beings of 'high vibrations' are very much akin to Ezekiel's Wheel. Truly higher beings will be completely terrifying and earth shattering. An actual breakthrough you will realize that there is an underlying sense of evil within our 3rd dimension.
All of this happens within your mind, so any negative energies are parasitical demons with attachments to you, giving them attention causes a stronger grasp. It's the deal the elites make with them, full grasp of their spirit in exchange for power on a temporary plane (3rd dimension)
if you're seeking something that completely breaks and shatters the veil produced by this world and even DMT experiences to an extent, then your best bet is Peyote. That drug is extremely holy and should be revered if you're looking to cast out negative energies back into hell. Worth reading into would also be the "false light matrix" - anyone who's practicing spiritual alignment, enlightenment, etc. should always ask themselves what is and isn't a distraction.
