kek. agreed. it does make sense, but i don't think it explains it adequately. i think *certain people*, shall we say affluent cosmopolitans with positions in education, law and the media are teaching all those immigrants to be malicious and standoffish to their host culture. because if it wasn't for education and the media, nobody would be noticing all those cultural appropriation related infractions. people with the background i mentioned are definitely susceptible to getting outraged over something like cultural appropriation, but a catalyst is needed. without a catalyst, someone telling them what to be offended over and why, this strife wouldn't exist.
