Japan's manga market (and the Korean/Chinese manhua/manwha markets) function by a very simple principle, that of the free market. If you want to write something, you can keep writing it as long as someone's buying it. As long as other people enjoy reading it, they'll keep buying it. This is why manga covers the entire spectrum from the most wholesome cute stuff to the most degenerate shit. Goblin Slayer shares this season with on the one hand a homosexual romance anime and on the other hand an anime short about a penguin going on cute adventures in the city.
That's the manga principle: you buy it, we write it.
