>>10404985Too bad, you're getting one right here and right now and there's nothing you can do about it.
>that's being unable to complete your production on timeSo Anno did make a mess after all. And here I thought that the original ending, while a little underwhelming on my first watch as it clearly wasn't what I was expecting, had its own creative merits and was quite the bold move to pull. Am I to take EoE as the ending that Anno had in mind since the very start?
>Good mecha fights are like good martial arts fights except with more design possibilitiesI can't argue with that, and the clips you provided certainly were entertaining to watch, especially the second one. But regarding this point
>they can allow for battle damage and severing of limbs without actually harming the pilotand I know that this is heavily contextual, but doesn't that reduce the stakes in a way, especially if we were to take it generally?
>alsoWhat do you think about the Evangelion reboots? I don't really see what their point is, other than milk the Eva cash cow, but you, being a lot more knowledgeable on this topic, might be able to make me see things differently. The first movie was competent enough (mostly because it was more or less the same, though I didn't like most of those small changes). The fight at the end was quite nice. I can't say I liked the second one because of how cliched the characters (the main strength of Eva for me) were. The third one... happened...
It's been a while since I typed up one of these long ones.
