The universe is most certainly created and designed, properly tuned to sustain life or whatever the purpose of this simulation is. Light is a constant and you can't go beyond it because it's the processing power of the simulation. Then there's multiple variables and hidden constants that we've discovered through quantum physics that certainly show a preset configuration that allows for life/consciousness.
