started smoking two years ago at 17. I have a heart problem, had to undergo open heart surgery. Two months beforehand I stopped smoking cigarettes and bought a $20 e-vape from my local gas station. Worked like a charm, and I stopped using the vape like a month prior to surgery. Maybe even not as late as that.
If you're addicted to cigarettes-- please seriously consider it.
I even miss smoking them too, every day. But I've been educated and I *know* smoking causes long-lasting heart problems and heart/lung damage. Even though I'm still recovering, I feel 100x better than I did while smoking. I'm not shilling, I seriously haven't been paid, I'm just concerned for those out there who can't kick the habit. I understand the weight of personal choice, but when it transforms from "once every few days or so" to "every 30 minutes", you really gotta wonder if it IS a personal choice instead of an addiction. I won't tell you what to do-- but if you're looking for a way out and you're serious about quitting (and saving money at that), buy a vape. It doesn't be to a $300+ fucking AI-esque rig, it can just be something even like a cheap-o you get for the nicotine fix. It isn't the same as smoking, and you will miss the fuck out of smoking, and you will slip up and smoke a cigarette here and there, but that's okay. Addiction is a long road and whoever reads this and wants to stop smoking, just take it from me, vapes work.
Pic related, this is what happens when you smoke with a congenital heart defect
