but see, since they buy their turkeys frozen, a less attentive cook might not defrost his turkey thoroughly by the time the big day comes. and when the boiling oil hits one of those frozen pockets it causes a literal explosion (because the only way to deep fry a whole turkey is in a 10 liter pot)
