Pic related is what probably most kids/teenagers banger was since early noughties, atleast mine was. Literally a MODIFICATION of a game, that was a mod in itself. Reminder that 1st half-life thats been built on goldsrc engine was derived from quake "id" engine. Wouldnt be surprised that Quake was a mod based on something else lol. And CS is built on HL's base. Anyway, CS as a mod was probably as successful as HL itself, if not more. Interesting how this video game made influence worldwide - from USA to EU to China. Through oceans and across the globe. Still play it from time to time, sadly less and less people play it and majority of players are thos from former yugoslavia. It is an interesting phenomenom - both HL and CS were a product from USA. While HL is pretty impactful in USA (though not as much as COD or HALO), cant say the same for CS. Wonder if americans still remember it and play it? Ive seen some small and big tournaments being held in US in early 00s, then it all suddenly vanished.
