He said that doing so would kill all the grass/plants on the property if done in the right dosage. You can also just salt the earth but it requires a good amount of salt (probably could get one of those big 20-50lb water softener salt bags) and nothing will ever grow for a real long time.
There are lots of ways to ruin landscaping and to be subtle about it, friendo.
