>>299416Quite a shame really, it would've been just as foolish to dismiss the idea of inheritable problems with capitalism just as to dismiss thought and value behind Ayn Rand's word.
>>297743What's worth noting is that as a result of the cold war, both democracy and mentioned capitalism have been idealised as falsly as stalin's "communist strife for utopia".
I wouldn't go as far as to blame both for everything, simply cause there always more than one factor behind influancing things.. let's say it influances people's mentality fairly bad. Even something as simple as sad practices of "faking" products, take american "Honey" which actually isn't honey at all, a simple example but how common. Other than that, what kind of retarded idea is it to allow manipulation of currency to serve as means of income. Money oughtn't come from nowhere, and yet what central banks tend to do especially nowadays is pay debt with even more debt, that being, printing more money. In turn, capitalist structure expects for this printing of money to result with inflation, yes? Well, that's where things complicate, a country's currency is to be initially reflected with capital, various assets of course, however mostly ones in the shape of your classical gold slabs stored somewhere deep in vaults no one knows about. Well, truth be told, no one knows how much of that actual capital, especially in gold, does the country actually posses. That'd in turn resulted or majorly influances plenty of economic problems we've been facing for good over few decades if not longer.
Then again, similarly to the honey example, thus brought up, it demoralizes both markets, industry and mentioned people. Whatever the case might be, workers do are exploited, unconsciously even by their very employers. Possibly because of the failing economy, ever further are (capitalists) forced to cut their expenses short so as to keep a "reasonable" flow of income. Not much choice so through cruel salary and poor conditions.
