the Romanians share many of their myths with the Romans. the most famous is probably the legend of their origin: three brothers - Romulus, Remus and Romanius were abandoned on a riverbank. a she-wolf saved the two former's life by breastfeeding them, however there was no place left for the third. luckily a male wolf fed the child in a similar manner, but givan that it had no breasts, the child suckled on it's phallus. at the age of 16 the young Romanius wandered to Dacia with his fellow sheperds, where they met a group of Indian fortune tellers. they were bored by their sheep - they wanted to try out new forms of love. they took the women as their wives. the legacy of this event lives on in the modern Romanians' lives. annually they gather around gypsy settlements and choose their mate. they are also known for their pioneers. many romanians journey to far lands, like western Europe or Canada, to get what they refer to as gibs. some even wemt as far as Japan. yes, really! they are the founders of Japans' most misterious cast of samurais. pic related
