>>14180985The reason why /bant/ was the way it was early on was because of the gathering together of people from /jp/, /a/, [s4s], old /b/, /int/, and even /pol/. Now that we've grown used to a common /bant/ culture and have gotten waves of immigrants from boards like /r9k/, /v/, /qa/, and /pol/ all coming here and calling this their "home board", it would be extremely difficult to really revive that old /bant/ culture (which was really more like a fusion of 4 different cultures into one). People post Cirno images not because they like Touhou, and they post kot not because it's a funny-looking animal picture, but rather because they're designated board heritage. There's too much of a reliance on specific manifestations of phenomena rather than a true understanding of the underlying form and the spirit that it represents.
