Women are attracted to sociopaths because they're drawn to confidence. Confidence indicates integrity and life purpose, but overlaps with outright shamelessness. Even those of us with a decent amount going on are liable to excuse some unconfident traits from time to time, so statistically speaking a highly confident guy is more likely a predator than star catch by nature, all else outstanding. This is why asking fathers approval was pivotal in societal cohesion because you can't just tell a girl to stop being attracted to confidence, but a father with life experience can sniff out a liar pretty well. Free will without cautious wisdom is a recipe for self destruction.
