https://archive.palanq.win/bant/thread/18912848/#q18936880Carmody Jefferson enters the ring as Sola Fire gets up and Karna leaves. She touches her shoulder lightly in a showing of support, but here, in the ring, with the loss so fresh, isn't the time to try to work it out. She joins her in going backstage to the locker room, without a word. It's not that she's not sure what to say; it's that she's sure it's not the time to say anything. All the platitudes, the "good effort" and the "you fought well" would mean even less than normal after a loss like this one. She could tell what this meant to Sola. It's not the kind where you say, "good try, we'll get 'em next time."
Backstage, in the locker room, she half-smiles at Sola, sharing in a portion of her regret.
>"Hey, I know this is tough. After we get cleaned up and dressed, I'm here if you want to talk about it. Or if you don't want to talk about it, I'm still here."
