I used to be fat, and getting fit helps a lot with the ugly. One thing I learned is it has a psychological effect on yourself. If you're a decently intelligent introvert you'd like to believe you're not a shallow person and you don't care about looks and all that. But that's bullshit, your brain's basic instincts are much stronger than yourself regardless, you're always a slave to your brain in some ways. Fixing your body can sometimes fix your mind and vice versa
