You can, at any time, and moment escape. All it takes is the courage to move forward one foot at a time, there is no barrier outside of that fear.
If you are scared if that you leave, that you will die; is that such a barrier? If you stay, you will die; death awaits you in either regards; however, with the former, it is something that can be curtailed if planned out properly.
