Sir Michael Ann Roft III esq. is the sole heir and proprietor of the Roft family fortune. As the last surviving Roft house member he is in charge of a massive estate and the dealings of his noble house. As a nobleman it's his duty to sire an heir but the catch is he doesn't like women as he is a gay so the help is constantly worried about losing their jobs. In the meantime Sir Roft sits in his chambers reading and working on pet projects brattily pushing off any actual responsibilities.
