Those switches have begun an incursion into the BigBox Home improvement stores over the last few years.
With all the Fix'n'Flipping going on in the rental real estate market, I could see these slowly becoming the replacement norm over the next 5-10 years--IF we last that long.
Funny thing is, rocker switches like this were pretty big for a while back in the 70's.
People just had them swapped out over time. They kind of go in faddish waves here, mostly according to the whims of real estate agents.
