We make imaginary social constructs to alter human behavior in ways nature never intended, because the laws of nature actually intend for you to die, your body and every physical sign you ever existed to be disintegrated until not even subatomic particles remain, and the energy released by this disintegration to be diffused and dispersed until not even the faintest whiff of a soul remains, an ideal natural state scientists call "universal heat-death."
As such, the laws of nature are an absolute bloody misery to live under, and only imaginary social constructs can steer us to build a better world than natural laws like "kill or be killed" can.
