On a roll since joining the WWA some months ago, Cassie Maverick has continuously called out tougher competition, and finds herself now face to face with her biggest challenge yet: “La Jefa” Raquel Durango. We’ve seen La Jefa head to farms in the past, including what was almost a face off with Farmer Girl herself, and one can’t help but wonder just if Durango has anything to do with the issues at Maverick’s own farm. Maybe a win here will get Maverick one step closer to figuring things out.
Durango, meanwhile, disappeared somewhat abruptly following the Hell in a Cell match at Clash in the Kingdom, and we here at the WWA commentary booth have been unable to find out where she went. But it’s clear she has been going through something of a rough patch, which can only make La Jefa that much more dangerous now that she is back in sanctioned competition. Will La Jefa get back into her winning ways and reverse the curse that she spoke of, or will Cassie Maverick continue her streak and stablish herself as a top waifu in the Alliance?
