The original log poster never disclosed why exactly he started forcing it, but I think it's a symbol of what /b/ has become. It was never good as they say, but ever since chanology and especially after the fappening, it's symbolic of what /b/ has become - literal shit. It seems almost like log threads were destiny. "Oh, this board is shit now? Well here's some shit then." It's very ironic to me. All of us that post it know how stupid it is and I really highly doubt any of the others actually want to eat the guys shit, it's just something we do to waste time and redeems this website a little for us. Just one of those things I guess
