>>12867202A lot of wild animals do things that we view as absurd and barbaric when done by humans. Like abandoning their weak or some species pretty much having rape as their primary reproductive strategy. But we don't call them absurd over it. We only look at them from a scientific standpoint and try to understand why they behave like this because we don't expect them to "know any better". Well, maybe it's also absurd to not apply the same to humans. Then again, it may itself be absurd to expect humans not to see things that way. So we hold humans to a higher standard just because it's us and people want to believe they have free will to change. It's why I don't think advanced aliens would possibly judge us for destroying the environment or starting wars or whatever nonsense some movies and UFO believers try to push. It's probably just expected that we'd behave like that to them.
