I have zero problem with Betty's intense sexual attraction towards those types of uniforms and styles, but if she just removed the iconography I don't think anyone would find issue with it, and it probably wouldn't make much difference.
The biggest problem that came from it was attracting the wrong crowd who took it 100% seriously.
