It was well know among early christians for his complete rejection of the links between Judaism and Christianity, as well as between the OT and the NT. He claimed Christ was sent by a God completely different from the evil, materialistic fake God of the OT, with the goal of rescue us from it's captivity. His own apostoles were fooled into believing he was linked to the OT prophecies, and only Paul, greatest of the apostoles, discovered the truth about Christ and correctly move away Christianity from it's fake jewish roots.
Marcion formed the first proposed canon of christian scriptures, the Gospel of the Lord. The original work was lost many centuries ago, but thanks to the tons of sources we have from the church fathers, who wrote tireless against it's “heresy” it was possible to recontruct it, as it was basically a largely modified Gospel of Luke, epurated from all parts that linked Christ to the jewish tradition, as well as most (but not all) of the letters of Paul.
Marcion and his followers claimed instead that this gospel, this one, was the true and only original, and the fake christians wrote numerous fake gospels to try link christianity with judaism and thus corrupting the message of the celestial God.
