Pros:
- "free" college
- good education system in general
- "free" healthcare
- lots of vacation and holidays
- minimum wage is not scandi tier but still great
- life is pretty cheap is general outside of Paris
- giant variety in food, from succulent gourmet food to cheap but healthy meals
- land is beautiful, especially in the south and in mediterranean areas
- weather is nice, all 4 seasons, never too cold or too warm
- no dangerous fauna outside of the mainland
- lots of culture and fine arts
- more wage equality than in most western countries
- very friendly people in small towns, most are outgoing and acquiring a gf is stupidly easy
Not Pros nor Cons:
- most of the country is rural
- the RSA: basically 600€/month for NEETs, if you've worked for more than 3 years in France and is currently unemployed you will become a "chômeur" as long as you're genuinely looking for a job, receiving money each month based on the job you had before
- the crushing majority don't believe in any religion
- most cheap places are recently built commie blocks or american style houses
- EU/schengen
- good interwebz speed everywhere in the mainland
Cons:
- muslims absolutely everywhere in big cities
- more than 1500€ for a driver's licence
- creating your own business is a nightmare of paperwork and taxes
- the french mentality, you need to get used to it. Very hard to deal with most of the time
- if you want to stay there for any long period of time, you need to be fluent in french. No one cares to speak english or any other language over there
- guns or any weapon in general are hard to get and often costly
- 99% of the music scene is atrocious, unless you're into nigger music
- land isn't cheap
- nobody is faithful, it's hard to have someone who won't cheat on you
- you're expected to be extroverted
