that picture is true(I mean the right part) but you are missing something
for the right thing, the yellow and blue portals have equal, and opposite velocities, meaning that the pole gains relative velocity to the portal, but not to space. but if the portal is still, like in the left portion, aka, is relative to the space around it, the pole also gains velocity relative to the space, meaning that it launches its self,
this relativity bs is so fucking complicated
in fact, if the scheme on the right would be separated to 2 platforms, one with the yellow portal, and one with the blue one(still same directions tho) if the blue one is going down, at a velocity higher then the yellow one, the pole would receive negative ……………
