In the place I'm collecting it from, it grows in thin layers between what's either a granite or a conglomerate. I'm hoping to find a piece thick enough to polish up on my cabbing machine and maybe make a piece of jewelry out of. But even if that doesn't work out it makes for a cool-looking rock to put in the front yard for everyone to see,.
