actually, i'm not going anywhere, i would have been late even if i took the subway. i'm working from home today i guess.

>>3701313collectors editions are exactly what i'm thinking of, but only if the digital copies are much cheaper than they are now. like you have your game for 30$ on steam and your collector's edition for 60-80$. i haven't thought about it too hard, but something like that would be best i think. oh and all physical copies should be what we would consider collector's editions right now. i don't even want to have the option to buy a game from a store just so i can get a fucking blueray or dvd case with it. just have a tiny variation like we do with kpop right now with the whole poster/no poster thing. maybe make it a game map/no game map thing or something.
don't know how realistic any of this is, but i'd certainly be more likely to buy a game if that was the case.
