morning /smg/. was having a good dream, about extremely tall trees, it had rained and they were growing bigger. it was then disrupted by some horrible violence i won't describe, glad i woke up and got out before it got worse. would like to go back to bed but i don't think it is happening. someone on /fit/ called me "extremely manly," *blush* i'm not about to go in and correct them. intel and snap are both short-sale restricted today, pretty unusual, the selling has been that ferocious. hoping the bond selling lets up today, seems overdone and nonsensical, but is undoubtedly tied to global politics. gold just won't quit, thinking of just buying miners at open again, selling first uptick, even if it's going down the miners should poke their head higher before a rejection. hoping for a good day today in the markets, and some emotional peace, my mom leaves very soon and i need serenity in my life.
>>22529746nothing is certain in the fog of war. and you can play thought experiments with people's lives all you want, the reality of it is very different. war is terrible and only destroys things. china is also a nuclear-armed nation, even if you were right about a conventional war, and you're not, what happens when they truly do have nothing to lose? not to mention the impact on the stock market...
peace is a much better option and should be pursued with greater vigor, hoping cooler heads prevail in all of this escalation going on and a real deal can be struck soon. nobody wins in war and conflict, just a lesser loser.
